A good question. We already have a huge range to choose from... timber, steel, concrete, earth, straw bale. adobe, mud brick, polystyrene - the list goes on. If it’s just another product then maybe we don’t need it. But if it’s an improvement on an already good system, then we should take time to consider it. And that’s just what Durawall ™ is! An improvement on a very common, and successful, building system.

Most people have heard of tilt slab - very common in commercial building and sometimes used in residential too -

particularly multi-unit high rise. However, the problem for single residential applications has been price. Unlike commercial buildings which use many identical panels, residential is very one-off and this escalates building costs for traditional tilt slab. Durawall ™ has combined the excellent properties of traditional tilt slab, with the affordability or common residential building products.
