A older commercial building being used as a factory and showroom for solid wood furniture in need of a facelift. The brief also called for an increase in showroom space.

When we first looked at the project, the first thing that was noticeable was the small louvre windows to the showroom set back under a large overhang, which, essentially, stopped nearly all light entering the room. This necessitated lighting to be on all day.

We tackled the brief in two main areas. An

expansion of the showroom, with better light and glass. Secondly we revamped the whole overall facade of the building to produce a look we felt was more in keeping with the quality timber products being produced there.

While the owners were happy with what we had achieved for them the project never went through to completion.
